Right now, I'm loving the LBBMD (Little Black Bridesmaid's Dress). There's a reason that every woman (including me) has at least two or three LBDs hanging in the front of her closet. This go-to outfit has you covered, be it at your brother's girlfriend's cousin's wedding reception, you niece's school play, a job interview, or a night out on the town. Now, these classic standbys are making their way into the bridal party.
Style Me Pretty showed a gorgeous assortment of fun, flirty, and fabulous black dresses for your soon-to-be-thankful bridesmaids.
What are your thoughts? Are LBBMDs the next big thing for weddings, or is the look severe and out of place?

Take a picture, it'll last longer!
It's come to my attention that there are a LOT of talented photographers out there. There are photogs that specialize in making every bride look like a runway model and photogs that seem to have a knack for capturing every tender, silly, ridiculous, or funny moment of the day. They suck you in with romantically soundtracked websites depicting fabulous weddings and then knock you in the stomach with a fat price tag. It's tough, shopping for the right one!
I just got off the phone with a wonderful photographer, and let me tell you, I'm excited. His listed price on the website made me want to cry (in a bad way), but after talking with him on the phone he was willing to give us a hefty discount. He's still a teensy bit out of our price range, but I feel like he's going to be worth it. I felt at ease talking with him over the phone, and if there's one thing that I know about myself, it's that I make a face like a howler monkey if somebody I don't like is taking my picture.
What do you think the most important things are in choosing a photographer? Is it all about the right price, or was this an area of your budget that you were willing to push?

Short dresses, long on awesome
I have to admit that I've changed my mind about my dress more times than is reasonably sane. I think I've decided for sure, but I won't post it for a while just in case!
My most recent obsession, however, was short dresses. It takes a certain kind of bride to pull off this style, but I haven't seen a photo yet of a bride who didn't absolutely rock it. Here are a few of my favorites...
I love how elegant and romantic this dress is. The short length keeps it sassy!

I tried this dress on and almost decided on it! It's adorable and very sweet.

I love this style, called "Luella." Talk about the ultimate party dress!

The rich satin on this dress is so luxurious.

Call me crazy, but I love the Little White Dress collection!

T minus 350 days...
Thanks for stopping by! I started this blog to have a place to discuss ideas, showcase fun finds, and exchange ideas with other brides. I'm always happy to hear what you have to say!
It's hard to believe that I've been engaged for almost a year and a half. In the beginning, I was so happy to have so much time to plan, but the extra time has given me more than enough opportunities to change my mind incessantly. Well, my indecision is your gain! Every week, I'm going to post an inspiration board of different aspects of weddings. I'll also link to other gorgeous wedding inspiration boards.
So... Enjoy!
